Web Development |
Web sites serve as an electronic marketing and communication tool for an organization. They are open 24/7, and with the current penetration of home computers with internet access, it is a marketing opportunity that more and more organizations are taking advantage of. A web presence is less expensive than yellow page ads and more visually appealing and dynamic than printed ads.
Research done by the Pegasus Research Group indicates that 60% of homes in the US have internet access. A survey conducted by US Census Bureau in February 2002 indicated that 67% of users with internet access research products and services online, and that 39% of users actually purchase products or services. This is a large number of people who could be reached through a web site.
Holiday internet sales were up 30% from 2001 to 2002, and considering the faltering economy in 2002, this in a fact that cannot be ignored when considering developing a web site with the ability to achieve sales. A web site can help your business grow through the home internet research or through a direct sale storefront.
